Horizontal stripes can never go wrong with a pair of white jeans. They go so well together. The thing I love about this style is that it can be rocked however you want it, be it flats, sneaks, heels or what have you? Wearing a ripped white jeans adds up the funk to the style, be creative and funk up the style.
With a Denim Shirt
A pair of white jeans and a denim shirt is a great way to wear denim head-to-toe without feeling overwhelmed. Throw on a brown or black belt and a pair of matching high-heeled sandals and you’re set to go!
Blazer
A lightweight blazer is a great way to dress up your white jeans if your office observes casual Friday dress-down days. Keep it sophisticated and choose a long-line blazer in navy or black. A good way to finish off the look is with a crisp button-down shirt, or a lovely plain camisole. Keep your jewellery simple and rock this look with a nice pair of heels.
Nudes
Is it just me? I love nude sweaters and white jeans for cold weathers. It just brings calmness and life at the same time. This look is definitely dope if you ask me! Nude; be it sweaters or whatever fabric is absolutely beautiful when paired with white jeans be it a rainy day or a bright and sunny day.
Neon
Neon is sometimes hard to wear, but it looks amazing when paired with white denim. It speaks confidence and a beautiful personality and has a way of affecting your mood positively and even the people around you!
Black
Not every time bright colours. Sometimes all you need with white jeans is a black top and classy accessory. What else is classier than this look?
All White Everything
This look is not just classic but elegant. It can work for an evening event. This style is something you can just pull effortlessly and look charming in it. Pair up your white jeans with a white with a lovely chiffon white shirt or white blazer. A touch of grey is not a bad idea when pulling off the all-white look. Accessorize with gold accessories to look smashing and elegant all at once.
Ladies, there’s nothing quite as alluring as leaving a head-turning fragrance trail behind you, but sometimes, spritzing on a perfume, or even a lightweight eau de toilette, can give you too strong of a scent that may even fade off before the day ends.
Deeply fragrant hair, on the other hand, gives you an all-over aroma that’s sexy and subtle. The trick is making it last. No matter the type of hair you have, follow these tips for lovely smelling hairdo that will last all day long!
Clean Brushes, Combs, Pillow-cases and Head gears
Brushes and combs tend to get dirty very often because of the hair strands, dust from the atmosphere and the oil from your hair. Dirty hair brushes, headbands, do-rags, sleeping bonnets, combs, pillow cases and head gears can also clash with the fresh scent of newly washed hair. So, clean out your brushes and keep anything that comes in contact with your beautiful locks clean! You can even spray your hairbrush with scented oil and perfume before each use to evenly infuse the hair with the fragrance.
Nice smelling shampoo
I’m the kind of person who picks a shampoo based on its scent. Sometimes, the problem isn’t how often you’re washing your hair. It could just be the product you’re using. This could be wrong as there are plenty of shampoos and conditioners that target different problems regarding the hair and the scalp, but what also sets them apart is how much of the lingering fragrance they leave behind. Some scents of shampoos and conditioners get washed away with the products, but others remain in your hair for quite some time. It’s just a matter of finding what is right for you!
Wash Hair Regularly
It is advised not to wash hair every day as it can become brittle and dry. However, this don’t mean we shouldn’t wash our hair regularly as required. In the end, no product is going to keep your hair smelling fresh if it hasn’t been washed when supposed to. Using a good scented shampoo that matches your hair type can leave your hair smelling great for hours. However, if you really like your shampoo for what it does to the texture of your hair or scalp, but hate its smell, you could add a few drops of lavender oil or rose water to make it smell better.
Less Heat
A fresh blowout or a nicely straightened hair with a hot comb is always a good idea, but its consequences are not. If you’ll subject your hair to heat, you’ll have to do it smartly in order not to damage your hair. Make sure to tell your hair dresser to lower the heat settings to avoid burning your hair ends. If you’re straightening your hair at home, make sure to go easy on your hair locks, to avoid the burning smell and use heat-activated hair products like a blow drying balm to lock in a long-lasting aroma and protect your hair from damage while adding scent and shine. Just don’t overdo it. Too much heat too often is never a good thing.
Scented Hair Sprays and Hair Perfumes
Did you know that hair sprays aren’t only used for hair styling? You can spray your hair after a blowout or even before you head to work. Not only will the hairspray keep your hair smelling good, it will also lock your hairstyle in place. Using perfumes that are specially made for your hair, and investing in a good hair mist is such great way to keep your hair smelling good all day long. Check if your favourite perfume comes in a hair mist! However, make sure the scent is good and not too strong; otherwise, you’ll have bad results.
Leave-In Conditioner
I must tell you, leave-in conditioners are such a great invention! Not only do they leave your hair soft, they make your hair smell like it is freshly shampooed. Slather your locks with a leave-in conditioner and let it work overnight. Pick one that’s rich, nourishing with a lovely fragrance. Apply it to your towel-dried hair, then wrap it in a sleeping cap and head to bed. When you wake up the next morning, you’ll have incredibly fragrant hair that will stay scented all day long!

Soften Your Stiff T-Shirts
This technique may take a little bit of time and patience, but very little effort. Just submerge and soak a cotton t-shirt in a salt water solution for about 3 days, wash like normal, and then say goodbye to stiffness! Easy after all right?
Bra-Strap Concealer
I get embarrasses when a stranger walks up to me to help me tuck my bra strap in. Sometimes I come up with ideas, but they don’t hold for too long. What I hate the most is a wide neck clothing that drops off my shoulders revealing my bra strap. So here is the clever trick – You’d need a pack of press studs, a thin strip of fabric- preferably one from the waist of your old shorts (waist tie), a needle and invisible threads.
• Cut thin strip of fabric into as many portions, approximately 5-6cm each
• Hand stitch half press a stud onto each end of a strip, and then using invisible thread, hand stitch half of the strip onto the inside of your dress.
Yellow Sweat Stains
That nasty yellowing around the armpits of your white shirts — you’re not the only one. I don’t even notice that I sweat, and I still get them! Keep a water bottle handy in your laundry room full of lemon juice and spray any areas of your white clothes that are prone to sweat stains before you put them in the wash. This stuff works miracles.
Deodorant Stains
This happens to me virtually all the time I wear a fitted top. I really don’t have the patience to slowly and carefully wear my clothes without having them rub on my armpits, wiping the deodorant and causing annoying white marks on my cloth. So I tried using baby wipes and voila! Baby wipes are handy for so many things, which is why you should keep a pack near your closet to remove those evil white deodorant marks!
Zipper Solution
You know what happens to the zip of those really tight pairs of jeans right? The zipper just wouldn’t stay up. So here’s what to do to keep them up. Slide a key chain ring onto the loop of your zipper, and then loop it around the button. The ring stays concealed under the denim and ensures that you don’t get caught with your fly down.
Stretching Tight Shoes
Those lovely shoes you have are wasting if they are too tight and you can’t actually wear them! My sister happens to be a shoe freak and sometimes she wishes to handover some shoes to me, but unfortunately her feet is one size smaller than mine. My feet seem to be a little bit on the wider side, and this is probably the main cause of discomfort in most of her shoes I have inherited. Here’s an easy trick to stretch out your shoes a bit! Fill a couple of good quality zip lock baggies half full with water, seal them with most of the air out, and then place them in your shoes overnight in the freezer. Repeat if needed.
Chewing Gum Catastrophe
I remember when I was a little girl; I had a couple of my cute little dresses ruined by chewing gum because I loved chewing gums and I always forget to take them out of my mouth before my afternoon nap. If you’ve ever had a chewing gum experience with your clothes or your hair, this is how to easily remove it from clothes and other fabric — ICE! The idea is to get the gum as cold as possible. This hardens it and makes it easier to just scrape off. This trick also works for furniture and hair. Good to know!
Funk up your Ripped Jeans
Have you noticed that the ripped jeans is trending a lot this season, virtually everyone on the street is wearing a ripped jeans. Funk yours up with any pair of tights depending on your style, but I so love the lace tights, it just gives you a whole different look. For a more casual look, perhaps just a pair of plain tights would do.
Take off the Fuzz from Clothes
Have you any cloth that has been ruined by fuzz (wool) or those little balls of loose fabric that collect around the underarms, or where the bottom of my arms rub against the side of your sweater? Just rub with a pumice stone carefully on those areas and then use a lint roller to pick them up. A disposable razor also works well on tighter knit fabrics.
Do you have some other brilliant clothing tips that could be of help? You could share them in the comment box below.
The Type of Dinner
Before going ahead to purchase an evening gown, you need to know the nature of the event. Formal events call for formal evening gowns while casual ones need those that are not too formal. You have to be careful about this when buying evening gowns because if you are not, the only thing that can be expected is that you will end up with a dress that you do not need or one that does not go with the event. It is however a good thing to note that there are many types and varieties that one can choose from and so, it never should be difficult to find the right one.
Colour
Colours are very powerful when it comes to choice, because a wrong choice can ruin everything. Some women prefer to stay safe and just choose safe colours such as white and black, while others dare to stand out among the rest. Most full figured ladies tend to go for the almighty black, since it is the colour that makes one look slimmer. Throw that conventional idea out and let the colours roll in. Blues, Red, Purple and green look great in plus sized evening gowns styles. Dress it up even more with a slamming pair of high heels and a clutch. Your accessories matter as well. However before you chose any colour, the most appropriate thing to do is to consult some of the people who are involved in the planning of the event to make sure you don’t look out of place with an odd colour. Also, you might want to consider your skin tone especially if you are considering to pick a bold colour such as red or purple.
Fabric
Fabrics make all the difference in the world when choosing an evening gown. If you are big, avoid polyester, silk or bulky wool. Go, instead for figure forgiving fabrics like cotton, nylon or jersey. What you need is a fabric that drapes nicely over your curves, hugging them only slightly. What you don’t want is something that causes bad bulges making the dress look misshapen. Cotton is the best because it is airy, score even more with cotton/spandex to create that “effect” into the way the dress falls across your curvy body.
The Right Fit
Apart from colours and fabric, size matters, too. You don’t want to get every other detail right and miss this one. While some buyers tend to order small dresses, there are many others who want to buy plus size evening gowns. The reason behind this is that not everyone has their size available in the store. It would be totally useless to spend your hard earned money on clothes that do not fit you because you either will not feel comfortable when wearing them to the event or you simply will find them unbearable. Hence, dedicate your time to search for the perfect fit and also consider your body type or shape while selecting.
In conclusion, when you’re trying to purchase an evening gown, make sure that you choose gowns that compliment both your looks and personality, hence, it would be very important for you to carry yourself well, particularly when you wear something as expensive and classy as an evening gown. Also, remember to choose your jewellery, shoes and purse carefully and in accordance to the evening gown and amaze everybody around you!
Items In Your Wardrobe That Can Make You Look Fatter
Written by HF Magazine Staff |
It’s funny how clothes and accessories can make or break you as they can create an illusion to either make you look slimmer or fatter. Hence it is very important to understand the tricks with clothing and accessorizing.
Horizontal Stripes
This is an old tip, but it still applies. Horizontal stripes can make you appear wider and bigger than you really are. This is especially true if the stripes are very wide. Vertical or diagonal stripes are a better choice when trying to look slimmer. Diagonal stripes can have a very magical effect in distracting eyes from your actual size. So if you plan to look slimmer, they’re a great camouflage.
Metallic, Shiny and Reflective Clothes
The effect is to make whatever they’re covering look bigger. So when you reach for those satin pants or that metallic jacket be aware of what the overall effect is going to be. It can be a great way to get proportion back into your shape. If you’re bigger on top go for a metallic skirt matched with a matt simple top.
Elasticized Waistbands
The problem with elastic waistbands is not just the way the material puffs instantly creating more unnecessary volume, but also the way it causes instability of the garment which in turn makes you look heavier. If you have any sort of curves the waistband will move either up or down as you move around.
The band is going to find the slimmest place to sit. Basically it just doesn’t fit properly. A tighter band that does sit where you want it doesn’t work well either as it will ‘squish’ any soft bits. Keep the elasticized waistbands on your gym clothes only.
Shapeless and boxy Clothing
Stiff, uncompromising fabrics in straight “box” cuts or shapeless forms usually make people look heavier than they are. Don’t trick yourself into thinking you can hide in shapeless or boxy clothing. It can actually make you look bigger. Shapeless dresses are never your friend! Accentuate your waist by wearing belts, peplum tops or blazers nipped in at the waist. You’ll love the hourglass figure those pieces will give you.
Large Prints
Prints can be so pretty, especially in a sundress or other feminine clothing selection, but you should be careful about the size of the print you choose. Smaller prints are better.
Large prints can actually make you look larger. If you’re feeling unsure, ask a friend who’s great at fashion to give you their opinion about it.
Handbag Size
If you are on the big side and you love to go with a small handbag or a cute purse may I have you know that comparisons will be made and since your body is probably 30 times larger than the handbag; the size of your body will be emphasized, even if you’re not particularly big in the first place. So, your bag should mirror your size. If you’re smaller and wear a bigger bag – same comparison, different conclusion – you will seem small.
Moral of the story choose a bag in proportion to your size.
Story: Items In Your Wardrobe That Can Make You Look Fatter
Corns and calluses are hard, thickened areas of skin that form as a consequence of rubbing, friction or pressure on the skin.
Corns generally occur on the tops and sides of the toes. They come in different forms and could be hard – a small patch of thickened, dead skin with a small plug of skin in the centre or soft – has a much thinner surface, appears whitish and rubbery, and usually occurs between the toes.
While calluses are hard and rough-feeling areas of skin that can develop on hands, feet or anywhere there is repeated friction – even on a violinist’s chin.
Like corns, calluses have several variants. The common callus usually occurs when there has been a lot of contacts against the hands or feet. In majority of the cases, they appear on the feet.
In the following paragraphs, we will discover the causes, treatments and prevention.
What causes corns and calluses?
Some corns and calluses on the feet develop from an improper walking motion, but most are caused by ill-fitting shoes. High-heeled shoes are the worst offenders. They put pressure on the toes and make women four times as likely as men to have foot problems. Other risk factors for developing a corn or callus include foot deformities and wearing shoes or sandals without socks, which leads to friction on the feet.
Treatment
Pad your toes
Traditionally, adhesive-backed felt, called moleskin, was used as a doughnut-type pad around corns and calluses to take pressure off them. Today, there are new synthetic materials such as crest pads, tube bandages and gel sleeves; available at most drugstores. The material is thin, soft, resilient, and rubbery. It doesn’t flatten out and holds up well and prevent your toes from rubbing on hard surfaces.
Use a Pumice stone
To soften corns or calluses, soak your feet in plain lukewarm water for 5 or 10 minutes and then use a pumice stone or a synthetic abrasive pad, available at drugstores, to rub off dead skin a little at a time. Some recommend the new synthetic sponge like pumice pads, which contain abrasive material and can be wetted with water and liquid soap and used in the bath or shower regularly.
Note: If you have diabetes, decreased sensitivity, or decreased circulation, check with a podiatrist before you attempt this.
Oil your toes and feet
After using the pumice stone, use a moisturizing cream like castor oil to help keep your feet soft, vitamin E cream or vitamin E oil is recommended as it has a way of penetrating the skin very nicely.
White Vinegar
White vinegar is another excellent tried and tested remedy for corns on the feet. The high acidity level of white vinegar helps soften the hard skin. Plus, its antifungal and antibacterial properties reduces the risk of infection.
Before going to bed, mix one part white vinegar with three parts water. Dab this diluted vinegar onto the corn and cover the area with an adhesive bandage and leave it on overnight. The next morning, exfoliate the thickened skin with a pumice stone or emery board and apply some olive oil or coconut oil to keep the area moisturized. Use this remedy once daily until the corn comes out.
Prevention
- To avoid corns and calluses on the feet, always have both feet professionally measured when buying shoes, and only wear properly fitting shoes. Allow up to 1.3cm (half an inch) between your longest toe and the front of the shoe. If you can’t wiggle your toes in your shoes, they are too tight.
- Avoid shoes with sharply pointed toes and high heels. Women who prefer such shoes, or who are expected to wear them at work, can take some of the pressure off their feet by walking to their destination in well-fitted flat shoes, and then changing them. Try to decrease heel height as much as possible.
- Have your shoes repaired regularly – or replace them. Worn soles give little protection from the shock of walking on hard surfaces, and worn linings can chafe your skin and harbour bacteria.
- Worn heels increase any uneven pressure on your heel bone. If the soles or heels of your shoes tend to wear unevenly, talk to you doctor about corrective shoes or insoles.
- To lessen pain from soft corns between your toes, work a tuft of lamb’s wool between your toes. Lamb’s wool is available at drugstores.
- Lace your sports shoes so that one lace goes from one bottom eyelet to the top eyelet on the opposite side. The other lace is alternated through the lace holes. Then, by pulling on the single lace, you can lift the toe box and give your toes more room. This also helps if you have a long second toe.
I
personally use to hate the way I looked in jumpsuits until I got a hang
of how to choose the right one and what works best for my body
structure.
In
this article, we’ll show you how to choose the perfect piece; be it for
the purpose of bumming around on weekends or to attending formal
affairs; you’d discover how to rock this look for just about any
occasion.
Choosing a Jumpsuit for your shape
The Curvy Woman
For
a woman with a curvy physique – avoid fabrics with large patterns and
prints. The best fabrics would be solid colors to enhance curves in a
natural way. Pairing the outfit with a nice pair of heels gives the
appearance of longer legs and can elongate the frame. A smooth, tailored
look with a good neckline also works best for curvier frames.
The Petite Woman
There
are three magic tips for petite women – Say yes to super short, avoid
long and loose styles that could make you look sloppy and smaller and
choose a skinny straps or a V-neck.
For tall and leggy girls
Wide
leg jumpsuits will suit your frame better and you can get away with
more daring styles like the one-shoulder. However, stick to the above
rules when it comes to your shape and if you want to get a model look,
elongate your figure with a plunging neckline and a slim leg for pins
that go on forever! If you are on the slim or skinny side, then go for
jumpsuits with layers, pleating and patterned design. This will help
create an illusion of a more defined waist, chest and thighs.
The Stylish Mom
For
women whose bodies may have changed since giving birth – there are ways
to wear the look. Women who have shapely arms should go bare; choose
jumpsuits that have either a halter top, sleeveless top or even tube
top. Long-sleeved jumpsuits can look elegant and classy and can still
hide less-than-perfect features. Mothers can show a little cleavage or
embrace color blocking. For women who are conscious of their stomachs,
wrap jumpsuits are a great way to camouflage that area.
The hourglasses and pears
Ok,
so if you’ve got a little more going on below the hips then you should
draw attention to your narrow waist with belted options. Balance out
your sexy hips with halter neck styles, shoulder details and flared
legs.
The Busty
If
you’ve got a full and heavy bust then look for jumpsuits with V-necks
or a button up front to flatter your décolletage and if you’re worried
about gaping then wear a cute camisole underneath.
Choosing for the occasion
Dinner outing
An
evening out on the town or a formal event almost always begs for the
color black, but don’t be afraid to wear a chic white. Think of the
jumpsuit as a sleek temporary replacement of the traditional black
dress. In addition, stiletto heels, bold accessories, quality fabric
choice and exquisite tailoring are a must if you wish to give off a
polished look. To ensure your one-piece is dressy enough for a formal
affair, look for fabrics like lace and satin or embellishments like
beading.
Errands and Casual
A
warm spring day or any casual affair calls for light weight fabrics,
playful rompers and bright colors. It’s easy to prioritize comfort above
style. Luckily, a jumpsuit does both, making it an excellent
alternative to sweats or workout gear. Opt for an on-trend denim style
or something with a utilitarian feel and you’ll be set to face whatever
the day may bring. Keep the makeup and accessories simple for a fresh no
fuss look. For both playful and functional, a printed jumpsuit is a
great choice for afternoon brunch, you can never go wrong with
black-and-white floral prints if you may transform from playful to
functional.
Official
A
day in the office or business meeting may seem like an odd occasion for
a jumpsuit, but designers have the created silhouettes for this as
well.
Choose tailored jumpsuits, long in length
with long sleeves or compliment your sleeveless outfit with a blazer and
pumps for a professional look.
Bridal Showers
Believe
it or not, a menswear-inspired jumpsuit is the perfect choice for a
feminine event like a bridal shower. Teamed with a blazer and statement
sandals, this twist on power dressing is destined to be a showstopper.
Avoid upstaging the bride-to-be by choosing an all-black or brightly
colored one-piece.
What’s
great about the jumpsuit is that you can take it from day to night, you
can go from being something very casual to something very elegant and
classy and it is now turned into the new evening gown.
Wearing makeup to the gym
is out of the question for some, but the temptation to look good
always, gym or not, is inevitable for many ladies. The big question is,
why is wearing makeup to the gym such a big deal?
Dermatologist and skin care
experts advise against wearing heavy foundation and powder to the Gym
for these reasons. While working out, the skin produces excess sweat
which purges the body and replenishes the skin. However, instead the
free flow of sweat during workouts, makeup can clog the pores, allowing
the trapped debris and bacteria remain under skin cells causing irritation, bumps and acne.
Nonetheless, despite the fact that the main aim of going to the gym
is to sweat it out and get low down dirty with the workout, many women
won’t dare to go bare faced regardless of their concerns. The struggle
to look good at all times is real, be it for that good looking gym
instructor or fellow gym buddies. Sometimes, the reality of the
situation is, you just don’t want to be caught ‘out and about’ without
makeup.
If this is the case, then here are some ways you can pull off
looking good to the gym, without hurting your skin. Use a tinted
moisturizers instead of foundations as this would give you the minimal
coverage you need without clogging your pores. You are less likely to
have acne on your eyelids and your lips, so concentrate on these areas
if you must wear makeup. A pop of colorful eyeshadow and lip gloss might
be all the magic you need to look beautiful while working out.
Keep your skin hydrated and clean before and after gym sessions, as
sweat in itself is acidic and must be washed off immediately so as not
to harm the skin. If you treat your skin right, then you would soon get
the natural glow that will make you confident enough to bare your skin
when going to the gym.
Going to the gym is important to keep the body healthy. However, a
healthy skin is equally as important, so if you must wear makeup to the
gym, always remember to do it right.
Written by Ms Cheeks.
I totally agree with St. Gregory on this one. When a girl blushes or wears a blush, there is just something about her that lightens up. It has a way of making her look younger, more attractive and it adds a sort of glowing, warm effect on her. Speaking in fashion terms, a well applied blush can give you a healthy glow, enhance and define your facial features.
Many ladies believe a blush is the quickest and easiest part of a makeup to apply. Apparently, they are right, but to get the perfect blush within in those 5 seconds of application is one that depends on so many factors.
The rules for application of a blush can differ among women, if you have a round face, apply blush at the apples, and then brush all the way up to the temples.
To fill out a thin face, start with blush at the center of the cheekbones and brush straight back to your ears. You can also create higher cheekbones by using a bronzer a shade or ‘two darker than your skin’ tone and brush it along the outer cheeks. Add a dot of highlighter on the top where you applied the bronzer and voila! You have a definition. This creates a lifted effect. You’ll look startling!
There are quite a few different types of blushes in the market today. Cream blushes blend into skin more easily and looks natural. It may not be suitable for oily skins, as it can wash away the color. Powder blush is probably the best option to go with. Liquid blushes are great for a natural flush and glow, but a bit hard to apply, the trick is blending with this type of cheek color.
Blushes should complement skin tone. So, color selection is important when choosing the right one for you. Pink ones are good for paler complexions, corals for medium skin tones and darker brown shades for dark skins. Some come with metallic swirled in and give a pretty golden glow with color. This can look great for an evening out!
A great way for blush to last all day is applying a primer before application. Another thing you could do after the primer is to add a cream blush on your cheeks, then finish up by dusting the same shade in powder form over it.
Using the right type of brush to apply blush is also a main key to application. A fan or a big fluffy brush is great for powder blushes. For cream, gel or liquid fingers are the best. Natural and synthetic brushes give a softer application, whilst bigger brushes give a more deep dense contouring.
Also if you’re using a bright shade of blush remember to tone down the rest of your make up. Remember to always keep one strong focus on your face with makeup, keeping it simple and elegant is always the key to a fabulous look.
To summarize everything I just said, here is a simple break down on how to get a simple pretty blush flush.
Keep it real: Mimic a healthy glow, roses for light skin; apricots for medium skin and brick for dark skin types.
Finding the right consistency: Crème Blush, Gel Blush or Powder Blush, generally Crème formulations for normal to dry skin, Gel for Oily skin and Powder for Normal to oily skin types.
Proper Placement: For a natural look place blush at the top of the apple of your cheek. Depositing most of the pigment where rosiness would show up if you had just ran down the beach. I always smile for a more exact placement on my cheeks. Blend outward towards the ear.
Great Tools: For a Powder blush, use a fan brush or a soft big angled brush. While for a Gel or Crème blush, your fingers are the best tools.
Powder Primer: If you are using a powder blush, use a translucent powder to prime the face before applying powder blush. If you want a dewy look, just powder the place where you will apply the powder blush.
Lasting Power: To prolong your cheek color all day, first apply crème or gel blush, powder the area with translucent powder then apply powder blush. The color should last for hours.
Always remember that; the right shade of blush can produce a youthful glow but the right application can shape and define the face, from sexy to glam.

Dandruff causes flaky skin on the scalp and these dry skin flakes can clog the pores on the face and body, leading to pimples. If you are a person with pimple prone skin, dandruff can worsen the problem.
Dandruff occurs when the scalp is too oily or too dry. They can appear any time from infancy to old age. However, the pimples appear more during teenage years. The pimples caused by dandruff can be seen even in people more than 20 years of age.
The forehead is the most endangered part of the face in this respect because it is very easy for the dead flakes to come into contact with the forehead, thus contributing towards the offshoot of pimples on the face.
Well, now that we know this, here are some ways to help your scalp and your face:
Hot oil massage
A hot oil massage once a week can help reduce the problem of pimples caused by dry scalp dandruff. It keeps the scalp healthy and improves the blood circulation to the scalp. Hot oil for the scalp will loosen the dead skin and relaxes you.
Apply hot oil to the scalp and massage the scalp, you can choose almond oil. Wash off the oil with good antidandruff shampoo. Do this remedy at least once in a week to see results.
Apply conditioners away from the scalp
If you use conditioners after shampooing, make sure that you apply it slightly away from the scalp. Make sure you do not rub the conditioners on to the scalp. The residue of conditioners can aggravate the dandruff, hence rinse off the conditioners thoroughly so that no residue is left on the hair.
Anti-dandruff shampoo
Apply good anti-dandruff shampoo at least twice a week on your hair, and make sure you wash all the affected areas like scalp, ears, face, etc. Also, make sure you do not take a hair wash with your hair upside down, as the dandruff flowing off your scalp with settle down on the forehead and face.
Onions
They are rich in Sulphur and prevent the itching of the scalp. Apply onion juice on the scalp half an hour before bath. Massage it well on the scalp and wash it off using mild anti- dandruff shampoo.
Olive Oil and Lime
This remedy is very helpful in preventing dandruff. Take one tablespoon of Olive oil and mix it with one teaspoon of lime juice. Apply this on the scalp and leave it overnight Shampoo the hair next morning to keep the dandruff at bay
Keep the hair off your face
Try to keep the hair off the face as, frequent contact can lead to pimples.
Wash your face regularly
Wash your face at least twice a day. This will help remove the flakes from your face and keep it clean and oil-free. Use a cleanser to wash your face twice a day. This will remove the flakes and grime out of your face which can lead to pimples by clogging the pores. You can also use water based cleansers to clean the face twice a day.
Lime juice
The anti-bacterial properties of lime helps to cleanse the scalp. A bit of lime juice applied on the scalp and left for about 20-30 minutes can do a lot of good. Make sure you thoroughly wash off the lime with lukewarm water after this. You can also apply lime juice on the pimple affected areas. The moment you get rid of the dandruff in your scalp, your skin will start getting clearer.
Avoid using hair styling products
Hair styling products are making your hair either oily or dry. Dry hair is known to attract dandruff, while oil clogs the pores when they trickle to your face via your hair.
Brush your hair regularly
